Preschool ballet is the 2–5 track at Harding Blvd. Loomis had 6,836 people in the 2020 Census. Loomis is still a small town — 6,836 people in 2020 — so there is no full-size children’s dance building on Taylor Road. Parents here are choosing a rec class or a full studio one freeway exit west. Class sits in morning, afternoon, and Saturday blocks — not only 6 p.m.

Preschool Ballet and Loomis
LOOMIS: We Are Still A Small Town Loomis is still a small town — 6,836 people in 2020 — so there is no full-size children’s dance building on Taylor Road. Most families have to choose between a rec class and a dedicated studio one freeway exit west. Loomis (town) recorded 6,836 people on April 1, 2020 (U.S. Census Bureau, 2020 Decennial Census (QuickFacts, population April 1, 2020)). Actual Loomis landmarks parents use: Downtown Taylor Road, Loomis Basin, and Horseshoe Bar. For context: the local high school is Del Oro High School. Loomis Union School District (Del Oro High in Placer Union) is the public-school universe. Dance as a twice-weekly class for a preschooler is generally an off-campus activity. Driving distance from the Harding Blvd studio is about 7 miles; allow 12–15 minutes in normal traffic. Preschool Ballet at Tutu: Preschool ballet is the 2–5 track: music, movement, and the first ballet positions, all taught like a good preschool lesson plan — not a teen class with the music slowed down. Wear: Leotard or a simple dance outfit and ballet slippers. Trial: whatever they will keep on. Hair off the face. Hours: Monday–Thursday 4:00–8:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m.–noon (Friday and Sunday closed). Melissa Reich opened the studio in 2015 and has taught since 2005. Staff bios — including Kima Lee (B.A. Dance, Sacramento State, 2023 Exemplary Student Award) — are on the About page. Shows: The Nutcracker (December; 2026 date TBA); Summer Showcase. Schedule a free trial class — call 916.276.8408 or use the contact form. Tuition is quoted by phone; we do not publish rates here.

Preschool Ballet — what we actually teach
These are the pieces of preschool ballet at the Roseville studio, not a generic style list.
What Loomis parents actually ask before they drive 12–15 minutes
You want ballet before kindergarten without a serious-studio attitude. We teach on-site at several area preschools as their dance provider. We do not publish our partner names here. The Harding Blvd class is the studio version of that work. Loomis families usually choose this based on Downtown Taylor Road traffic and if 12–15 minutes will work in the week.
Listening is the hidden curriculum
Turns, freeze, wait your turn. Kindergarten teachers notice that more than a perfect tendu.
Studio and on-site
We also teach at area preschools. This page is the Roseville studio class — call if you want the on-site question.
Clothes that survive glitter
Leotard and slippers after they enroll. Trial can be a t-shirt. We have seen the glitter either way.
ECE lesson plans
Teachers are trained in early childhood education. The class looks like good preschool with better feet.
A normal week in preschool ballet
Ballet vocabulary with tap-adjacent play on some days if they are in the wider preschool program — inquire which track you are booking. Showcase is on the table for kids ready for a stage. We won't promise a lead role at 4. Schedule note: Weekday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday. That's how we accommodate half-day preschool and nappers. Billing: Tuition auto-billed on the 1st. Classes not pro-rated for missed days, holidays, or the two weeks summer and winter off. Disenrollment requires 30 days written notice.
