Del Oro High School is our de facto high school, and Loomis Union School District (Del Oro High is in Placer Union) is our public-school frame of reference. Dance as a twice-weekly class for a preschooler is a place-based activity, usually off-campus. Driving distance from our Harding Blvd studio is about 7 miles; 12–15 minutes in normal traffic. Landmarks on the way that parents actually use: Downtown Taylor Road, Loomis Basin, and Horseshoe Bar. We need to know what days 4 is too early for recital makeup and lights. Recital is optional in that we will not force a terrified 4 year old under a spotlight. Many do just fine with Showcase. Loomis families typically base this on Downtown Taylor Road traffic and how well 12-15 minutes fits in the week.

Nutcracker and Showcase are on the studio calendar. A 4-year-old performs if they are ready, not because we sold a package.
The “I can do it myself” year
Four-year-olds want independence. Class is structured so they can succeed without a parent on the floor.
Before you buy the shoes
Even if they're advanced we still would not put them in an 8 year old class. The policy is age/skill combined. We begin to gently fix sickle feet. We do not have to scream across the room at them to do it. Schedule Note: Weekday evenings and Saturday mornings; some preschool-hour blocks if that better accommodates nap schedules. Billing: Tuition is automatically billed on the 1st. Classes are not pro-rated for absences, holidays, or the two week summer and winter breaks. 30 days written notice required to disenroll.
